Task 1: My Life in a Nutshell
I can still recall back when I was still a little child, I was full of dreams and aspirations. Growing up in an economically deprived family, I immediately realized how difficult life is. I knew from then on that I have to do my best to create a better life for myself and my family. I started by taking my studies seriously. I would always make sure to have a medal of honor at the end of every academic year.
I was very determined and full of hope from elementary until high school. When I finished my secondary education, I was really hoping I could continue my tertiary education in one of the universities in Leyte. Unfortunately, it didn't happen. Despite graduating with honors, I was not given the opportunity to study in college. During those times, my hopes and dreams all collapsed. I spent 3 years of my life without any direction. I was lost and don't know what to do and where to go.
One day, an opportunity came knocking on my door. One of my cousins offered to send me to college. Without any hesitations, I immediately said yes. The offer came with the responsibility of taking care of her 3 young children. I only lasted 1 semester juggling my time studying and working at the same time. Honestly, it was the lowest point of my life. During that time, my self pride went down into a bottomless pit. But my determination was just bigger than anything else. So I went looking for scholarships to support my studies. Luckily, countless opportunities came. Through the help of my scholarships, I was able to finish college from Leyte Normal University where I got my Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education major in Biological Sciences last 2019.

Graduation picture with my closest friends. Right now, I am already a practicing professional. My first teaching experience was in a private school where I spent 1 whole school year teaching online. It was a very memorable experience for me. Currently I am 1 year employed in the Department of Education where I get to continuously do what I love doing--teaching.

As a passionate teacher, I take pride in the fact that I am an instrument of positive change. Teachers have the power to make relevant impact in the lives of many especially in the young minds of his/her students. I personally believe that teaching is the most fulfilling profession.
In my 2 years in practicing my profession, I can say that I am very proud of what I've become. I am not only able to help my family financially, but most importantly I am able to do what I think I am destined to do.
